Nola Hedstrom-Beblow, M.Ed., R.C.C.
Registered Clinical Counsellor (#12568)
Nola’s (she/her) educational path began with foundations in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Victoria, where she first found her calling supporting children with special needs and their families. Driven to deepen her expertise, she went on to complete a Master’s degree in Applied School and Child Psychology at the University of Calgary.
For the bulk of her career, Nola practiced as a School Psychologist primarily within the Central Okanagan, while simultaneously maintaining a private counselling practice. The integrated understanding of both assessment and intervention was pivotal in developing a style that weaves clinical insight with practical, person-centered support — grounding her work in the belief that meaningful change happens when a person’s strengths are recognized alongside their challenges.
Now retired from her psychology role, Nola maintains a thriving therapy practice in the Kelowna area as a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (RCC #12568), bringing authentic commitment to every therapeutic relationship.
Both personally and professionally, Nola holds a deep passion for walking alongside neurodivergent individuals of all ages. Her approach is collaborative and individualized — weaving together each person’s unique strengths with their developmental and learning needs to create meaningful, lasting support. She works directly with children, youth, and adults, while also partnering closely with families through education and counselling.
